Muhammad Bukhari completes move to JDT
JDT have strengthened their ranks with the signing of talented pivot Muhammad Bukhari from ATM Futsal

Muhammad Bukhari has left ATM to join reigning back-to-back champions JDT Futsal, in the first eye-catching switch of the Malaysia Premier Futsal League 2026 season so far.
Bukhari arrives at JDT on the back of a fine campaign at ATM, where he sits fourth in the MPFL 2026 scoring charts with nine goals, behind only Selangor's Marlon, Pahang Rangers' Felipe De Souza and Rodrigo Da Silva.
Bukhari has also been one of the form players of the competition away from the goal tally, level fourth in the MVP rankings with three awards, and was named in the pundits' Team of Circuit 3.
His form helped keep ATM in touch with the top four, though the club have since been squeezed out of fourth place by Kuala Lumpur City.
He joins a JDT side who have won the last two MPFL titles, in 2024 and 2025, and currently sit third in the 2026 table on 13 points, four behind second-placed Pahang Rangers and eight adrift of leaders Selangor.
Joao Almeida is the first coach to make a move in the transfer window and Bukhari's arrival adds further firepower out wide to a squad already well stocked in attack.
Almeida said “we signed Bukhari because we needed one right footed pivot, that shows capacity to learn fast and have direct impact in the team. We are always looking for opportunities to improve the squad and Bukhari shows the right ambition and attitude to join and represent our principles and the identity we want for JDT: smart, talented, ambitious, competitive and a warrior”
For ATM, it is a blow to lose their leading scorer and one of the competition's more consistent performers, though the club will point to the strength in depth they showed in Circuit 3.
For JDT, it is a statement of intent from a club unwilling to stand still after two successive titles, and further evidence of their pulling power in a league now well used to seeing its best players drawn south to Johor.
Bukhari's first outing in JDT colours is expected to come against Wipers in their first match of circuit five, as Southern Tigers look to keep pace with the top two.
