Pahang Rangers began as Kuantan Rangers FC in November 2016 under the patronage of Tengku Fahad Mua'adzam Shah, rebranding to Pahang Rangers in February 2019 to represent the whole state.
Progress came quickly: an undefeated 2017 Brunei Futsal League campaign, a debut Liga Futsal Kebangsaan season in 2018, and an academy launched in 2017 to feed national talent.
Runners-up in the league in 2019 and 2022, they peaked in 2023 with a Division 1 and Malaysia Futsal Cup double under Gerard Casas, beating JDT in both finals.
Pahang Rangers finished third in the 2025 MPFL Division 1, behind JDT and Selangor, with Felipe Souza and Harith Na'im among their key scorers.
Their Malaysia Futsal Cup run was the story of the season: a 12-3 aggregate win over Terengganu in the quarter-finals, then an 11-9 aggregate upset of holders JDT in the semis (8-4 in the second leg).
They fell short in the final, beaten 13-3 by Selangor at N9 Arena, Nilai.
