Johor Darul Ta'zim's futsal team launched in 2023 as the indoor arm of JDT, Malaysia's dominant football club.
They announced themselves at once, finishing runners-up on their MPFL debut in 2023, then completing a league and Malaysia Futsal Cup double in 2024, beating Selangor 3-2 in the Cup final.
JDT retained the league title in 2025, a second crown in a row for the Southern Tigers.
JDT won the 2025 MPFL Division 1 title, their second in succession, finishing on 39 points from 13 wins and a single defeat across 14 matches.
They scored 93 goals and conceded 36, ending three points clear of Selangor, who scored a touch more but won fewer points.
The title was sealed with a 4-1 win over Sabah; their only league defeat came against Selangor. Brazilian pivot Bruno Taffy remained a key figure up front.
