Bruno Nogueira Aguiar, or Bruno Taffy as he is better known, is a Brazilian futsal striker known for his sharp finishing and strong movement in the penalty area. He built his name in Brazil before moving to Europe, where he became a key player for top clubs and earned a place in the Brazil national futsal setup.
Taffy started out in school football before turning fully to futsal. He played football at Fortaleza earlier in his career, but later returned to futsal, where he found the level and space to grow as a top pivot.
He went on to play for Minas and Santos in Brazil, before moving to Spain, where he represented Palma Futsal and then Inter Movistar. His move abroad helped shape him into one of Brazil’s better-known futsal forwards.
His time in Spain brought major success. In 2017, he won the UEFA Champions League, the Spanish Cup and the Spanish league in the same season with Inter Movistar.
That run confirmed his status as a reliable goal scorer at the highest level of the game. Reports about him at the time described him as one of the Brazilians to stand out in European futsal.
Taffy was later called up to the Brazil national futsal team, adding international recognition to his club success. That call-up came after strong performances in Europe and underlined how far his career had come.
Taffy is best known as a pivot, which means he plays with his back to goal and holds the ball up for others. He is also valued for his finishing, his movement in tight spaces, and his ability to help a team play through pressure.
His story is one of patience and progress. He left football behind, trusted his futsal talent, and turned that choice into a long career at a very high level.
