Andrés Alcantara Prieto, often known as “Andresito”, is a Brazilian–born but Spanish international futsal player who has built a strong reputation as a creative floorplayer at the top level of the game. He is best known for his technical skill, passing range and ability to control the tempo in the middle of the court.
Alcantara was born in Brazil in 1991 but grew up in Spain, where he switched his sporting nationality to represent the Spanish national futsal team. He has played in Spain’s top domestic league for many years, becoming a regular name in the squads of leading clubs.
He spent a long spell at Inter Movistar, one of the biggest teams in the Spanish league, where he helped win domestic titles and compete in continental competitions. More recently, he moved to Japan to play for Nagoya Ocean, champions of the Japanese Futsal League Division 1.
In 2026, he joined JDT Futsal in the Malaysia Premier Futsal League, bringing his experience from Spain and Japan to the Southeast Asian competition.
Alcantara has represented Spain as a futsal international and was part of the Spanish setup that won the 2016 UEFA Futsal Championship (Euro 2016).
On court, he is usually used as a pivot or a central playmaker, valued for his close control, vision and ability to find runners in tight spaces. His calm touch and reading of the game make him a key reference point for any team he plays for.
