JDT moved back above Pahang into second spot after a big win over ATM as Circuit 8 drew to a close
JDT made up for their disappointed defeat to leaders Selangor with a big win over ATM as the curtain fell on circuit 8 in Pasir Gadung.
Despite missing Bruno Taffy they wasted no time in trying to regain top spot from Pahang Rangers who won earlier in the day, Ekmal Shahrin opened the scoring, that was quickly followed by a second from Norakmal Norizal.
Three more goals followed before half time, Bukhairi Samsudin scored a fine volley against his former club and two from Andresito sent Joao Almeida’s side in with a 5-0 half time advantage.
JDT scored twice more at the start of the second half, Mahadir Harahap after a good solo run and Andresito completed his hat-trick.
JDT can’t catch Selangor at the top but this was a significant step to finish second and go straight to the semi-finals, they rounded off a big 9-0 win as Radzwil Ahmad and a second from Ekmal Shahrin rounded off the scoring.
ATM hang onto 6th spot but USM are breathing down their necks just two points behind going into next week’s final circuit of the regular season
