JDT and Pahang Rangers, who finished first and third respectively in the last two seasons, produced a grandstand finish to Circuit One on Matchday Two with a 3-3 draw as the home team squandered a 3-0 half time lead.
It was Pahang that had the first chance of the game in the opening seconds, an acrobatic overhead from Felipe De Souza well saved by JDT keeper Zainulzahin.
JDT started to take control after that and took the lead in the 5th minute when Pahang's Muhammad Syarifuddin turned the ball into his own net.
Bruno Taffy, who scored a hat-trick on Saturday, got his 4th of the season to extend JDT's advantage, and they would go into half time with a three-nil lead as Firdaus Ambiah scored his first of the new season.
There was a determination about Pahang in the second half and they started much better, Rodriguinho hitting the post, but even then no one was prepared for what was to come.
Rodriguinho did get on the scoresheet a few minutes later to make it three one, and seconds later a mix up between keeper Zainulzahin and Mohamad Danial saw the JDT man put through his own net.
And the comeback was completed moments later when Akmarulnizam fired home to level the scores at 3-3.
A thrilling game to end a great first weekend of action in the Malaysia Premier Futsal League 2026.
