JDT took to the court in their first match of Circuit Two against Terengganu, who came into the match on the back of a narrow 5-4 win against USM last Sunday.

JDT wasted no time in getting on the scoresheet. Just under five minutes were gone when Andresito fired them in front with a smart finish into the top corner.

They added a second when Norakmal Norizal made it two.

JDT dropped points in their last match against Pahang, squandering a three goal lead and having to settle for a point.

They scored a third here when a clever Bruno Taffy back heel was converted by captain Firdaus Ambiah.

Taffy himself got on the scoresheet with three minutes to go to half time and the defending champions looked to be cruising at 4-0.

Terengganu did pull a goal back though before the break, goalkeeper Zainulzahin racing off his line but being beaten to the ball by Iqhmal Najmie, to make it 4-1 to JDT at the break.

JDT led Pahang 3-0 at the break last week and again conceded goals in the second half here. Hafizi Ismail made it 4-2, and four minutes later the deficit was reduced to just one goal when a quick break saw Iqhmal Najmie's second of the match.

Ridzwan Bakri came on and made an impact, his pace causing the Terengganu defence plenty of problems. He hit the bar with a well struck shot and then set up Abu Haniffa Hassan to score JDT's fifth, enough to close out a hard fought 5-3 win.
