match report: Pfa odin 1-6 pahang rangers
Another five goals from Felipe De Souza as Pahang kept up the pressure on JDT for a second place finish

After JDT’s defeat to Selangor on match day 1, Pahang knew victory in the opening match of match day would see them go second for a few hours at least.
They didn’t make the best start and found themselves a goal down, Burhanuddin Othaman’s cross was finished by Azrin Shahmin to put PFA in front.
But Pahang turned things around before half time with two goals, both from their top scorer Felipe De Souza, the first after he turned in a Rodrigo free kick, the second a swift break out of defence and a trademark finish from De Souza who now has 27 goals.
Have only beaten USM 2-0 on match day 1 this was a much better attacking show from Eloy Alonso’s side, De Souza completed his fifth hat-trick of the season eight minutes into the second half.
The Brazilian has been virtually unstoppable this season, he went onto add two more, five in the match and move level with Marlon on 30 goals at the top of the goalscorers for the season.
Razin Rahim added a sixth late in the game as Pahang over took JDT to go second, they also improved their goal difference.
PFA Odin can still mathematically make the play-offs but can’t afford any more slip-ups
MVP – Felipe DE Souza (Pahang Rangers)
