Pahang Rangers v KL City

Pahang Rangers host KL City at Circuit 7, looking to add to a 6-1 win the last time the two sides met back in Circuit 3. Eloy Alonso's side have been one of the league's in-form teams all season, and go into the weekend off the back of a 6-4 win over Terengganu that continued an excellent recent run.

Felipe De Souza has been at the heart of it, his 21 goals this season leaving him second in the scoring charts behind Selangor's Marlon. He has been well supported by Rodrigo Da Silva, whose own tally of 16 gives Pahang Rangers arguably the most productive strike partnership in the competition. Their only defeats all season have come against Selangor, and Pahang will fancy their chances of back-to-back wins heading into Circuit 7.

KL City, under Jerry Dinesh, arrive with recent form far harder to read. A 5-4 win over USM was followed immediately by an 8-1 defeat to JDT, a reminder of the gap that still exists between KL City and the league's very top sides. Dinesh Kumar has been their most reliable source of goals with 9 for the season, while Daniel Felipe and Muhammad Dodie have added 5 and 7 respectively, giving KL City goals in the side even on a difficult afternoon.

Given the head-to-head record and the differing trajectories both sides bring into the weekend, Pahang Rangers will start as favourites, though KL City have shown themselves capable of scoring freely against most opposition when their front players click. A repeat of the seven goals they managed against PFA Odin earlier in the season would give Pahang Rangers plenty to think about at the back.

Pahang Rangers will be hoping to maintain their strong recent form, while KL City will be looking to respond immediately after a chastening defeat to JDT.
