Terengganu got off to a blistering start against ATM Futsal going two-up inside 35 seconds as Circuit 5 Matchday 1 got underway.

The clock had barely started when Hafizi Ismail put Terengganu ahead straight from the kick-off as they went in search of a third win of the season, and they added a second a few seconds later as Alif Mat Amin continued his fine run of form with his ninth goal of the season.

For ATM it was their first match since losing their key pivot, Muhammad Bukhari who joined JDT in the transfer window, they were clearly missing his influence and found themselves further behind.

A stunning long range strike from Faris Iman an early candidate for goal of the weekend and another good volleyed finish from a corner from Syed Shahrul Nizam making it 4-0.

ATM’s four match unbeaten run came to an end against JDT last time out, they did pull a goal back Imran Samsudin made it 4-1 as Terengganu went in at half time with a three goal lead.

The second half was much quieter in terms of goals, it took nine minutes for ATM to pull another goal back, Imran Samsudin with his second of the match to make it 4-2.

This was Terengganu’s only game of the circuit and they made sure of victory as Alif Mat Amin scored another fine goal to move into double figures for the season and earn another Man of the Match award. He was inches away from a third hat-trick of the season as another well struck shot came back off the post.

ATM did get a third late in the game through Alif Iqwan but it was only a consolation as they slipped to back to back defeats and they take on Pahang Rangers on Matchday two in another tough test.

The win moves Terengganu onto ten points level with ATM but with an inferior goal difference.
