KL City and ATM served up the game of the round, a ten-goal thriller that finished 5-5 after KL City had let slip a commanding four-goal half-time lead.
Jerry Dinesh Pireira's side flew out of the blocks. Dinesh Kumar opened the scoring after two minutes and Nurhan Danish made it two soon after. Muhammad Harith pulled one back for ATM on twelve minutes, but KL City restored the cushion when Daniel Felipe converted a penalty, and Lucas Araujo made it 4-1 at the break.
ATM were a different proposition after the restart. Muhammad Anas reduced the arrears on twenty-three minutes and Alif Iqwan made it 4-3 with twelve minutes to play to set up a tense finish.
Lucas Araujo looked to have settled it when he grabbed his second to put KL City 5-3 ahead on twenty-nine minutes, but ATM had the final word. Muhammad Bukhari held his nerve from the penalty spot on thirty-two minutes, and the same man levelled the match from another spot kick in the closing seconds to complete his brace and earn ATM a point at 5-5.
It was a costly two points dropped for KL City, who will rue their second-half collapse, while Bukhari's late penalties capped a comeback that keeps ATM in the top half.
