KL City recorded back to back wins for the first time this season to go above ATM into third place in the table. It was neck and neck until the final few minutes when KL City took control to record a 5-2 win, with Terengganu leaving themselves exposed as they employed the powerplay in a bid to get back into the match.

Having both won on Matchday 1, Terengganu and KL City were looking to record back to back wins for the first time this season.

Just one place and one point separated the sides in the table, and it proved equally as tight on court, especially in the first half.

KL City did open the scoring with what proved to be the only goal of the half, as captain Dinesh Kumar converted Dodie Al-Fareq's cross in the sixth minute.

Despite no more goals, both sides went close. Terengganu were inches from an equaliser when Alif Izzat's shot hit the post, while at the other end Syahid Ajid hit the bar and Daniel Almeida forced a top save from keeper Afif Hazwan.

KL City led by a solitary goal at the break.

The start to the second half was equally as tight. KL City hit the bar again, this time through Danish Nazarudin, but just a few minutes later he did find the net to double KL City's advantage with a simple tap-in after Daniel Almeida's free-kick rebounded off the keeper.

That second goal stirred Terengganu into life and they got back into the game with a great solo goal from Iqhmal Najmie. Buoyed by that momentum they grabbed an equaliser as KL City let a winning position slip, Alif Izzat with a perfect pass for Hafizi Ismail to fire home to make it 2-2.

KL City retook the lead once more through Daniel Almeida, who was their best player across the weekend, to make it 2-3. They stretched further ahead when a low driven free-kick from Sufri Shamil was turned into his own net by Alif Mat Amin, and with Terengganu utilising the powerplay, Nazri Yunus found the empty net from his own half to seal a 5-2 win and a perfect weekend for KL City after their Matchday 1 victory over USM.
