Selangor v KL City: the leaders host their sternest recent test in Shah Alam

Selangor's remarkable unbeaten start to the MPFL 2026 season faces its sternest recent test when Jerry Dinesh's in-form KL City visit in Circuit 5 in front of what should be a packed house in Shah Alam.

Edgar Baldasso's side have won all seven matches so far, sitting top of the table on 21 points, with Brazilian frontman Marlon the division's joint-leading scorer on 16 goals. Selangor have beaten every side they have faced this year without exception, and Marlon's scoring record suggests he will fancy adding to his tally regardless of the opposition. But KL City's recent run offers genuine grounds for optimism, and a positive result here would go a long way to establishing them as the league's most credible challengers to the leaders' crown.
