The Malaysia Premier Futsal League got under way on Saturday, as PFA Odin and KL City kicked off the first of Circuit 1's four matches, the two sides sharing the points after a lively opener.
The side from the capital made a good start and took the lead in the first half, Lucas Araujo's shot beating PFA keeper Mohammed Irsyad on eight minutes to settle KL City early.
PFA, who finished third in division two last season, were soon back on level terms, Zafqul Syamil getting their first goal of the season to cancel out the deficit on ten minutes.
KL almost conceded a second a few minutes later, but keeper Muhamad Arif made a good save to deny Mohammad Safiq's free kick and keep the scores level at the break.
In the second half PFA made a positive start and took the lead in the match for the first time, Asyraff Zakaris making it 2-1 to the side from Sarawak on twenty-five minutes.
KL battled back to take a point and equalised with the goal of the match, Sufri Shamil's shot from distance evading keeper Irsyad, and the opening game of the new MPFL season ended two-all, both sides taking a point each.
