Wipers 0-13 Selangor FC

Wipers' debut in the MPFL 2026 season ended in a heavy defeat as they faced last season's runners-up Selangor, with Brazilian World Cup winner Marlon stealing the show with five goals on his MPFL bow.

Selangor put thirteen without reply past a young Wipers team with an awesome display of finishing, the result never in doubt once the goals began to flow.

Syahir Iqbal wasted no time in opening his account with the first goal inside the opening minute, and Marlon scored his first nine minutes later. Further first-half goals from Nazreen Saudi, Aidil Zakwan Zaidi and Aidil Afiqzam saw Selangor go in leading 5-0 at the break as Wipers were unable to gain a foothold.

Marlon added two more within ten minutes of the restart as the Brazilian, the silver ball winner at the 2024 World Cup, continued to impress. Saiful Nizam and Aidil Shahril Rosli were also on the mark, before Aidil Zakwan Zaidi and Aidil Afiqzam each grabbed their second goals of the match.

Marlon rounded off the scoring late on with his fourth and fifth, as Selangor recorded a 13-0 win.

Both sides are in action again on Matchday Two, with Wipers taking on KL City in the first match while Selangor face ATM.
