What the Coaches Said After the Semi-Final Second Leg
Selangor booked their place in the MPFL final with a semi-final second leg win over Terengganu in Shah Alam, here are the thoughts of both coaches.

Selangor produced another strong performance against Terengganu in their semi-final second leg. Edgar Baldasso's side won 6-1 on the night to clinch victory in both legs and book a place in the final where they will face Pahang Rangers also over two legs, the first in Kuantan on 24th October. Here are the post match thoughts of both coaches who spoke to MPFL after the match.
Edgar Baldasso, Selangor Head Coach
Q. Congratulations on your win against Terengganu, so what is your overall view of the team's performance tonight?
We knew that it would be a difficult game, I think it's a nervous game because we won the first leg, but here we have many things involved, the cards, the situation, we need to win, we needed to arrive with this focus. Terengganu played very well with a good intensity also, I tried to change the formations to preserve and keep with the intensity, so I'm okay. I like the result, sometimes in the game you make mistakes, but it's the game and it's natural to happen.
Q. At the beginning of the match Terengganu were very hungry for the game, did it make you worried and were there any technical adjustments you had to make during the game?
As I said earlier, they have speed, they have dangerous players with this 1-1, fast forward for attack. It didn't work in the first minutes our defence, our press defence, and they arrived here in transition, so we need to relax a bit, reorganize and step by step reorganize the team, but as I said it was a strong challenge, it's good to play this game, the score was good for us, but the game was balanced.
Q. As we know Terengganu doesn't have any foreign players, but this team managed to put a strong performance tonight, so what's your comments on their performance?
I think they have good players, they can help in the development for the local guys, so this is one point. Certainly they didn't just arrive here and hope to have a miracle, but if they keep this work and commitment and a good process, certainly Terengganu will be stronger next season.
Q. Lastly, will you be preparing any special strategy for the next game the final?
Every game is different, so we have our process, our identity, our philosophy for play, so this is what we need to maintain, but we have some specific things if you analyze the Pahang game, so we prepare certainly some news, but the game is this, I think we don't change our identity and this is the most important.
Mohd Shafily Jusoh, Terengganu Head Coach
Q. Coach, what are your thoughts on tonight's game?
First, I would like to thank my players for being able to make it to the semi-finals, because we are the only team that does not have any foreigners, we have 100% local players from our region.
Q. Coach, in the first 5 minutes, you said that Terengganu would go all out to attack, what was the difference between Terengganu and Selangor?
Okay, yes, that's right. I told you before we play tonight, we need to attack Selangor in the first half. In the first 20 minutes, we have to attack Selangor 100% but don't forget that Selangor are a very good team, so, we needed to take care of our defence so that we don't give up a goal easily. The goal we gave away in the first half was a mistake from us. If it wasn't for that mistake, Terengganu could have won the game.
Q. What were the disadvantages of that mistake?
Okay, in the first half, we had a lot of chances, but we didn't take those chances properly. Next year, there is a lot of potential for this team.
Q. What are your hopes for the next season?
Next year, I hope that these players can be retained and we can add more Terengganu players who are abroad and we can say that we don't have any imported players.
