Match Report: Selangor 12-1 PFA Odin

Selangor's unbeaten march through the MPFL 2026 regular season reached a 16th straight win in Shah Alam, Edgar Baldasso's side scoring ten times in the opening half alone in a rout of PFA Odin Sarawak that leaves them on 48 points from 16 matches in the final round of fixtures.

Saiful Nizam Mohd Ali set the tone inside four minutes, and Selangor barely paused for breath thereafter. Muhammad Khaiyum Mohd Khaimi, Muhammad Nazreen Saudi and captain Mohd Khairul Effendy Mohd Bahrin all found the net inside the opening nine minutes, before Borges Evandro and Muhammad Fitri Haqim Faizanizam added further goals either side of Nazreen Saudi's second. Borges Evandro's own second, in the 15th minute, made it ten before half time, with Mohamad Faaris Amsyar Marhaidi and Ahmed Haziq Haikal Rashidi also on target inside the opening half hour.

PFA Odin Sarawak, already all but out of contention for the play-offs before kick-off, at least had the consolation of a second-half goal through Mohammad Dzul Idzwaniezam Bin Madin, ending any thought of a Selangor clean sweep, but Muhammad Aidil Afiqzam Mohd Nasir's late finish restored the 11-goal margin and confirmed a 12-1 final score.

Faaris Amsyar Marhaidi, whose brace included the goal that made it 11-0, was named player of the match in a Selangor side showing no signs of easing off the accelerator with the play-offs now in sight.

Mohd Faizal Bin Zamri's PFA Odin Sarawak, already eliminated from the top six by results elsewhere, finish their penultimate match of the regular season with one game, against USM, still to come.
