Wipers stay rooted to the foot of the table after another defeat, but they did frustrate Terengganu for long periods particularly in the second half.
Bottom of the table Wipers went into their match with Terengganu knowing they would have to be at their best defensively to prevent Mohd Sfafily Bin Jusoh side picking up another three points.
It took Terengganu five minutes to break the deadlock, Alif Mat Amin, who’s been a standout performer for Terengganu setting up Hafizi Ismail for his 4th goal of the season.
Terengganu were having most of the possession and creating chances but it took them until the 15th minute to find a second goal, Azry Syahmie set up Faris Fadli to make it 2-0.
They did get two more before half time, Shahrul Niezam, started and finished a good break out of defence, and Alif Mat Amin grabbed his 11th on the season to put Terengganu well in control at the break.
Wipers came out in the second half and did their best to stifle the Terengganu attacks, it took ten minutes for them to increase their lead, a good finish from Alif Izzat making it 5-0.
But that would be Terengganu’s only goal of the second half, as Terengganu staged a mini comeback scoring twice, Fakhrul Hazim from close range and in the final seconds, Imran Khairi scored just their tenth goal of the season.
Another defeat for Wipers but defensively they showed better resilience particularly in the second half, Terengganu move above ATM into 5th, four points behind KL City.
