João Almeida is a Portuguese coach, born in Coimbra in 1986, with a Master's degree in sports science specialising in futsal.
He was head coach of the Bahrain national futsal team from 2014 to 2017, later coached Loughborough University in England, and most recently led Unggul FC in Indonesia before taking charge of JDT for the 2026 season. He is also the author of a published futsal coaching manual.
